Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

The official list below shows the time slots that are reserved - not confirmed exams. It is important to confirm with your instructor whether or not the final exam for the course will be held during this time period.

Make sure you read the Goethe exam terms and conditions and guidelines on each exam's webpage prior to making a decision to register. Also, make sure you register with the correct exam level.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists the locations where DEP conducts operator qualification tests. Please consult individual exam pages for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam information. If you need special accommodations because of chronic disease, visual or hearing impairment, or any other disability make contact with the exam provider and provide the information when you register.

The Faculty Dashboard in Workday includes the option of "View My Teaching Schedule" which lets faculty find their exam schedules. Additionally, the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for classes in which an exam is required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes that are held in the evenings are scheduled for the regular class time of the final exams.

Registration

Students are encouraged to look up the exam schedule online. However it is important to note that the exam schedule could alter at any moment. Students should therefore inquire with their instructors to confirm the exact time and date of their test. Students should also print the official list of questions to bring with them to their exam.

In addition to the exam schedule, students should familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and terms and conditions. These can be found on the page for each exam. Students acknowledge that they have read and agree to the terms and conditions of registration.

Exam locations make every effort to accommodate participants with special needs. The nature and severity of these requirements must be stated on the registration form, and then confirmed by a doctor's attestation. Additionally,  prawo jazdy kat. a1  must respect and maintain confidentiality.

If students are scheduled to take three exams on the same day, they must contact their department or instructor to arrange for a make-up test. While it is possible to take three tests in one day, it could cause high stress levels and could affect the quality of the test. The instructor may not be able to give an additional test to make up for the missed day.

Before taking the test students must prepare by studying their course material and practicing their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test which tests the ability to read, speak, and write in German. The results of the test are presented using a scale ranging from A1 to C2. Students who pass the exam receive an Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate confirms that the student has reached language level A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competency that is outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The test is free of charge. Students must bring a valid government-issued ID to the test. Those without a valid photo identification will be disqualified.

Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to receive an Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you must pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the course fee.

Practice assessments give you an overview of the format of the questions, their wording and the level of questions on the exam. They let you assess your level, discover areas of knowledge that aren't covered and increase your chances of passing the test.

It is important to note that the exam fee isn't refundable. Exam results can only be accessed via email and not by phone.
